First time here, congratulations to all Americans, great blog Twosret. This one is very funny. Sandmonkey's blog is messed up. Did you notice how they say democrats are terrorists. What is wrong with those zionists people over there, they will call anyone terrorists after an American democratic election.

Sandmonkey's blog is one the most twisted sites I have ever seen. I can't believe he claims to be an Egyptian. Probably got dropped on his head a few times as a child.

Brilliant post, keep up the good work.

Farid,

Sandmonkey claimed to be a libertarian. Libertarian and liberal have two very different meanings.

That being said I love this video. I don't think any human being can see this video and not laugh.

I haven't seen any video that is that short and so funny. Great post keep them comming.

Ok guys no hate fest here for SM. It was just a joke. I actually thought if this little monkey is up for adoption I will adopt him in a heart beat :)(I have to teach him manners though).

I'm glad SM saw the humor in this and wasn't offended, as for some of his crowd it was meant to offend them hehehehee. They are still spelling losers all over his site :)

You've got to feel bad for the real monkey in the clip, as for the sandmonkey, you've got to feel sad for him too, still backing those sleazy characters while they themselves didn't even try to hide or deny their sleaziness, I think it's time that the men with the white robes should start doing their jobs.

Tommy,

Be my guest as long as you make it cute, sweet and short like I did lol

hahaha, in SM's defense, people like him could form a healthy right wing in a future Egyptian democracy. (as long as they refrain from such sniffing activities :) )

As much as I love reading SM's blog I do think that he ain't all that representative of Egypt- maybe that's why he likes the republicans?
It annoys me just the tiniest bit coz alot of people seem to assume that he speaks for Egypt as a whole....hmmmmm :s
Sorry SM- I just had to say it

Twos,

You're not much of a political analyst, are you?
Keep gloating in your imaginary state.
While the democrats did indeed take over the house and the senate, go a step further and do some analysis:

1. The contested seats were not won by landslides, but rather marginally
2. The contested seats were won mostly by Conservative Democrats, and not by lefties like Pelosi and the Dem leadership

From where I sit, the outcome is great. The people will be able to get an idea of what it will be like in 2 years. I much prefer a Republican defeat than a victory - since the victory would have resulted in this taking place in the presidential elections.

So, keep gloating like an immature child. We'll see what happens in 2 years.

Hi Twosret,
One of the most endearing things about our Sandmonkey is his sense of humor. Most of his commenters have the same sense of irony about human nature. Some are a little more hostile - and that goes for both sides of the issues. Just as I see over here! :)

Two-

Most what I see on Sandmonkey's site is advocacy for human rights, advocacy for illegally jailed Egyptians, advocacy for women's rights and for free press.

Because he does not spew hate for America or Israel does that put him outside of the Islamic "Pale"?

Overall if that makes him some kind of a Zionist neocon...well that puts him many steps above anything I have seen here.

Twosret,

Although we rarely agree, that was funny. After the last couple of years I almost expected the election to go that way. Oh, well, hopefully the people will see the light after two years with the Dems and keep a 'publican in the white house.

Also Farid, republican thinking is closer to libertarian than democrat.

At least it was a close fight, no more than a few percentage points. Sometimes I think the US may split up again and have another civil war.

Sandmonkey is great. You are just envious of him.

Twosret said...

Bec,

Welcome to my blog, so cool to see your name among people who comment here.

Bacon eating athiest Jew with a black and white doggy,

Sandmonkey and I are cool, we respect each other and envy is not in our books. Grow up please!

Ward,

Glad to see that I made someone laugh and despite our disagreement on politics. The video is a joke that made SM himself laugh, no malicious intentions here :)

dug,

Thank you honey I love you too.

Anonymous,

Why bcs Republicans "aren't representative of America"?

It annoys me just the tiniest bit coz alot of people seem to assume that he speaks for Egypt as a whole....hmmmmm :s

That must be why Noam Chomsky, Pappe, Ramsey Clark, and any other far left Marxist wack they can find regularly appear on Al Jazeera, Al Manar etc..?

Because they are fairly reping the mainstream opinion and explaining eloquently America's positions.

I'd take Sandmonkey over the above annnnnnnnnny day. He doesn't hate his own country.

As the commenter above stated he advocates for blogger, human rights, woman's protection from mobs, peace and true dialogue and doesn't constantly hate on and dig up conspiracies about the Neo Con, Zionazis etc....

I'm just saying he's not very representative of the average Egyptian on the street...that's not to say that I do by any means....al jazz probably does more than he or I ever could- FACT.

Mike,

What do you mean by writing that "[Noam Chomsky is] fairly reping the mainstream opinion and explaining eloquently America's positions."

Do you mean to say 'raping' or 'reaping'? Or is this some sort of curious dyslexic compound neologism meaning to indicate that someone reaps by raping?

This is one of the many reasons why the United Stupidity of America fails to impress internationally: anyone who explains stuff eloquently is considered a traitor by people who cannot spell and probably have no specific skills other than the ability to follow very simple commands from a leader with which to identify easily due to lack of any capacity for personal growth.

In a way it is understandable that people who have no tools for thinking, who have a limited and often misspelled vocabulary for formulating original thoughts, whose want for the understanding of complex concepts coincides with their inability to connect the necessary dots in order to link an idea with its verbal representative, feel fear in the face of multitalented thinkers and their scary world of unlimited innovative and imaginative ways of comprehending all the factors that affect what misinformed people think are simple truths. Of course it is easier to understand a doting lover of simplified WalMart-opinions than focus onto that which is outside the immediate private and physical vicinity.

Higher powers are to be most forcefully thanked for people like Mr. Chomsky. There are a multitude of dyslexic, baker's-dozen-in-a-regular-dozen "Mikes" out there, but only very select few truly intellectually divine people like Avram Noam Chomsky.
